Band History
Tatoosh? Depending on who you talk to, the Native American word "Tatoosh" either makes reference to a Makah chief or is the tribal word for thunderbird.
Tatoosh is also the name of Microsoft billionaire Paul Allen's incredible 301' 8" yacht (Bobby, Tatoosh's lead singer, wants you to know that he also owns a 10' fishing pram named "Tatoosh 2" that needs paint)
Geographically, Tatoosh is a gorgeous range of mountain peaks located directly across from the Paradise Lodge and Restaurant on the border of the breath-taking Mt. Rainier National Park.
Tatoosh is also a multi-talented four-piece northwest power country-pop band made up of: Dave Nichols (lead vocals, lead guitar, various stringed instruments, and keyboards), Gary Montgomery (lead vocals and bass guitar), Donny Anderson (lead vocals, lead guitar, and keyboards), and Bobby Hoffman (lead vocals, drums and percussion.)
Experience: You may have seen members of Tatoosh in several popular bands appearing in the Northwest bar scene, concerts, including events such as Bumbershoot, Bite of Seattle, Taste of Tacoma, along with appearances on MTV and TBN... also numerous northwest country and rock radio stations...also many corporate shows and events.
This band honors the Native American people. We respect the deep wilderness; the ocean and bays and the flora and fawna of this great Northwest country.
We give thanks to those who protect and serve this great land and to those who have fallen in it's service. Most of all we thank God who gives us our life and breath.
To find great vocals and gifted playing in one band is remarkable enough but it's not all about the music. It's about having FUN!
Tatoosh members love people and their main goal is to provide great entertainment to their audiences.
Enjoy, escape, laugh, and sing along with one of the best bands to ever come out of the northwest. Tatoosh!
